Eivissa or Ibiza is part of the Balearic Islands and also of the Illes Pitiuses (formed by Formentera and Ibiza itself), located in the Mediterranean and belonging to Spain. The major cities in the island are Ibiza Town, Santa Eulària des Riu and San Antonio.

Ibiza is a very popular tourist destination, especially in summer due to its legendary riotous nightlife, its hippie history during the 60's, the warm climate of the Balearics and it's sandy beaches.

Pretty calm in terms of tourism during the winter, the island becomes the epicentre of the Mediterranean nightlife during summer and the early autum, being the meeting point for not only Europeans but clubbers around the world. Also, many famous people such as Mike Oldfield have or had a house here.

One of the most known places from here is the Cafe del Mar which is famous for the sunsets which can be viewed from there and for the many CD's published all around the world by the Cafe del Mar Music label.
